Transport TV

Nowadays, TV is everywhere, even when you're in the Bus or the Underground. Naturally, this indoor TVs have the sole purpose of presenting commercials after commercials, with quick news or entertainment spots between them. Ignoring content quality and the righteousness of yet another way to stimulate our already unbearable consumption habits, these televisions have quite a cultural drawback to the commuters.

It's quite usual to see people closing their books, constantly losing the focus on what they were reading, or just giving up to the popular football quizzes that inhabit those TV screens. And if you're not into books but enjoy riding your favorite public transport while listening to your music, well, just forget it. You have two choices, turn your volume up to the point of going deaf, or turn off your music player, as those sound systems are set as if they were intended for a large theater or auditorium.

This is all getting quite invasive, and it's a pity no one thinks about building this kind of systems from the totally opposite point of view. Think of Google and their quite discreet ads, when everybody thought the only way of getting people attention was through flashy banners and popup windows...
