Graduation Certificate Adventure

This was a tough week, mainly marked with problems that kept coming from my faculty. So Monday I went there to pay for my diploma and get my graduation certificate. When I got to the certificate part the treasury was closed for lunch and they weren't allowed to get any money from me at the main secretariat. They kept telling me that I should return the next day and not to worry with all that "I should be working by now!" part saying that I have this and that rights as a worker and not getting the point behind what I was talking about. It's as if for them, if you don't do your work today, you can do it tomorrow or a week after, it just doesn't matter...

At some point the lady realized she could deal with my process beforehand, only requiring me to go there when it was ready, and pay for the certificate that same day. Great! Thank you very much, indeed!

But that same afternoon I got an email requiring my presence there, URGENT. After some phone calls I got them to tell me what was happening. Some credits were missing to my curricula in order to graduate. Got home and dug through some papers to find out a big error I made one year ago. Although I went to the classes, did the works, the exam, and got approved at the subject, I had forgotten to do the enrollment and all the process was stuck because of it. That grade couldn't be launched unless I would pay a fine and a new enrollment. What could I do? I went back there Thursday, paid all that was to be paid, signed all the documents that where to be signed, and asked the professor to re-launch my grade. All was fine and going.

Or maybe not. Friday afternoon I got an email saying that the professor was trying to re-launch my grade and they were still missing my enrollment. Told them, gently, that the enrollment was made the day before and maybe the papers were still to be processed. But the lady didn't find any papers and said she would call me Monday, as I would be required to go there and show them the duplicates personally. Fax, scan, or send a copy by good old snail mail wouldn't do...

Sigh..
