Saw
Went to watch Saw II without seeing the original Saw first. It was quite a surprise.
I was expecting from this sequel a bloodshed movie. That was exactly what I got, a gory horror movie. But it was intelligently gory while the story was captivating and the riddles involved kept the suspense up till the end. But better than Saw II, was Saw, that I've managed to watch today. I was already expecting a plot twist, given the second movie and a friend advise, but even so the end came as a striking surprise. Much better than the second one.
Both movies talk about a serial killer, nicknamed Jigsaw, who traps his victims in elaborate death puzzles. The victim is always someone that can't appreciate what he has, and because of that lives a parasitical or self-destructive life. Confronted with certain death, the players have to solve riddles, and make a hard choice in order to stay alive.
