Steven Spielberg's Munich takes you to a realistic vengeance trip. It emphasizes how addicting it can be, and ends giving no hopes on the armed conflict, which it's quite true up to today. There's no right or wrong, winners or losers, in a war like this.
I wasn't expecting that amount of explicit violence. Can't say it's gratuitous though, like I wouldn't find gratuitous explicit lung cancer pictures on cigaret cases, or explicit car accident shootings in road killing prevention campaigns. But still, way too violent.
